Batman Villiains: My Dream Actors
Who doesn't love a Batman Villiain? I f you don't, this post is not for you. Batman had many a great villain and I've compiled a list of actors and actresses I could see playing a few of them. Firs up, Mr. Freeze... Here's a reminder of what he looks like in the animated series. Smart, cold, calculating... Who better than Patrick Stewart? WHO?! This man is brilliant in nearly everything he does and I would prefer a more intellectual Mr. Freeze, rather than the brawny one Mr.

The Problem(s) with Racial Fetishism
Right now I am fortunate to work for a company with many inspiring employees. This post, for example, was inspired by a co-worker...we'll call him...Herman Wyatt to protect his privacy. Wyatt is one of those people who is blissfully unaware of his actions and his choice of words. In some ways I'm envious, but for the most part, I am very disappointed that he doesn't understand how his words and actions come off, betray him or make him seem like he's more...ignorant than anyon

Unenchanted: A Book Review
I recently finished Unenchanted by Chanda Hahn. I am a big fan of fairy tales and love to see them reimagined. Hahn attempts to bring not only fairy tales, but the myth of the Grimm curse to the 21st century. The Grimm curse has been mentioned in movies and the show Grimm where a Grimm descendant is responsible for either keeping stories in line or fairy tale creatures in their place. The narrative is centered around a young girl named Mina, who is unaware of her ancestry., i

N0S4A2: A Book Review
N0S4A2 by Joe Hill Let me start off by saing....WWWWWOOOOOWWWWWW!!!! It has been a long time since I've read a horror novel. I believe the last time I dod so (before this book, obvisouly) was when I discovered Christopher Pike. This was my first adult horror read and I was absolutely floored. Hill is a masterful story teller. I was at the edge of my seat the entire time. The book starts off with Charles Manx's old, withered body in the hospital of a prison ward. He grabs the

Bound: A Book Review...and partial analysis
I love stories about different cultures so I decided to give Bound a shot. Xing Xing is bound to her stepmother and stepsister. She is essentially a servant. Their wealth has diminished over the years and their only hope for survival is to marry, Wei Ping, the stepsister off to nobleman of some sort. Since the father never had Wei Ping's foot bound before, the stepmother decided she had better start binding her feet. Back then, small feet, bound feet, were consdered beautiful
Page to Screen Vol. 3: Gone Girl
I finished Gone Girl the book October 3rd, and headed to the theater to watch the movie on October 4th. The book starts off kind of slow and it took me a little bit to really get into. It starts off going back and forth from Amy's past diary entries and Nick's present day thoughts. It reads like a novel about a broken marriage at first and how Amy, the dutiful wife, tried her best to fix it but soon grew to fear her abusive husband. This is very much like the movie in that r
